David Woodford this month has been one of a handful of UK artists to feature in 'Colour in Your Life's' first UK based documentaries.
The Australian company travels worldwide, capturing the story of artists working in various mediums.
Graeme Stevenson, pictured above in the background, talking to David before filming commenced this week, is the founder of the initiative. He, Sophia and Sebastian from the Australian outfit joined forces with Ian Walton and Leon from North Wales, over the last three weeks, to capture the stories of artists across the UK and which will be aired here in the Autumn. In part, the feature focuses upon David Woodford's mastery of the pochade or plein air - smaller works that capture the colour and atmosphere of a scene and their importance as a critical step towards larger oil landscapes.
David Woodford has spent the last forty five years mastering this technique, battling the elements in all seasons, often at altitude, to capture precise moments in time. Recent works of this type can be viewed and are for sale from his website www.davidwoodford.co.uk
